South Australia

The South Australian Branch is developing its own website, which can be found at www.laceguildsa.com

The South Australian Branch has regular meetings at various venues around the State - from Victor Harbor in the South to the Riverland in the North - to make lace and share our friendship and knowledge of the craft.

The year starts with a casual meeting in the Adelaide Botanic Gardens in January, with organised meetings from February through to the first week in December.

Our meeting days are:

There is a small entry fee at all meetings, but tea and coffee are provided. Please bring your own lunch and cup.

Exhibition

Our Exhibition this year, entitled "Colours of the Rainbow", was held during the Kernewek Lowender (Cornish Festival) in Kadina, South Australia.

The display was presented by the Australian Lace Guild (South Australian Branch) and featured a walk through the "Rainbow of Lace" with colours and traditional white lace.  Visitors were able to observe the ladies working with bobbins/shuttle/needle to create a fine piece of intricate lace as from an "era" past and also took the opportunity to "come and try" for themselves.
